Got home around 2am to a water heater that leaked all over my garage floor. First thing this morning I called around to find someone who could replace it today. Found Water Heaters Only online and within a few hours, Thomas B was at my door for an estimate. Price was better and more detailed than the others I received over the phone from other companies. Thomas handled business and in a few hours, had a brand new water heater up and running. This is a long thorough but honest review. First off, the phone reception people provide excellent service. Justin did a wonderful job installing my new water heater. He came on time the next day after I placed my first call appointment. Over the past couple years, I’ve had to wait days, even up to a week for different plumbing companies to send someone for an estimate. (In my line of work , I’ve hired many plumbers and contractors.) Most plumbing companies charge for first time visits with estimates, often applied towards the bill. Asking for a credit card number over the phone. Water Heaters Only does free estimates. I felt Justin’s estimate for this job was fair. With plumbing and appliances, you get what you pay for. Justin took the time to educate me on each appliance and upkeep, so I could make the right decision for my home and budget. I was on the fence about whether I should get a tankless, or just replace or flush my 13 year old tank. Justin offered the new install same day, but I chose for the next day. I called and changed my mind an hour before he arrived for the install the following morning, but he still brought both a tank and tankless just in case. At first, I was going for a Navien tankless that Justin suggested. After doing some research, I felt for a small two person family of my husband and I, in our small 1k sq ft home, we probably wouldn’t get much more out of a tankless than we would from a 40 gallon tank. But who doesn’t want that luxurious hot water that never runs out?! I would love to have gone for the tankless. Overall and budget wise, I ended up getting another Bradford White 40 gallon tank with no regrets.13 years my old BW tank lasted without maintenance…not too shabby. Plus the newer thinner taller design seemed to take up less width space. Justin had my new Bradford White tank neatly assembled, and up to code in 2-3 hours. Good as new. Even with old gas lines. (My house is almost 80 years old.)
It’s been a week since. My husband and I are enjoying long piping hot showers again. I do want to mention that Water Heaters Only San Diego stays open 7 days a week, and they do not charge extra rates on weekends and holidays. I thought that was pretty cool. Most importantly, I got a trusted Bradford White water heater installed promptly and up to code by a reputable contractor, and for a decent price. I’ll definitely call them in the future for all my water heater needs. 10/10 recommend!!!

I bought our house about five years ago. My wife and I were in the hospital for two days welcoming our fourth child. When we got home, we were exhausted and decided to take a shower, only to find there was no hot water. I went to check the pilot light and discovered that my garage was flooded. Exceptional service at a great price! I am so glad we selected Water Heaters Only to replace our 75 gallon water heater. Justin, the technician, called 30 minutes before arriving and was right on time. He spent some time reviewing if he could repair the heater, but it was 14 years old and was beyond repair. Justin then walked through all the things he would do during the replacement including adding an additional earthquake strap, overflow pressure tank, and gas line sediment filter to bring everything up to code. His work was extremely professional and quick. At almost $1000 less than other bids we received, I highly recommend Water Heaters Only and especially Justin for water heater repairs or replacements.

Absolutely phenomenal in every facet! Customer service, timing (was able to get next day appt when I called the previous evening), pricing (way lower than 3 other comps), quality, etc. If I owned a business, this is the benchmark for how I would operate. Justin was my tech, and I can't speak highly enough of his professionalism, expertise, and positive demeanor. It's rare to have an employee with all 3 of those characteristics. Don't go with any competitor before at least contacting these guys. You won't regret it!

Nobody wants to have their water heater go out on a Sunday afternoon one month before selling their home....I had just gotten back in town after a few weeks away and got a text from my renter that the water heater was gushing water. Ugh! I started doing my research and calling around. I was so grateful that they answer their phones here 24/7 and were able to get me an appointment for the following afternoon. Damien called to let me know he was on his way and within a few hours I had a new water heater! He brought the new water heater with him and took the old one with him. Damien the technician was efficient, professional and friendly. He was easy to understand and walked us through all the features of the new heater, the installation process used and all safety features. A technician was promptly dispatched to my home for an onsite assessment. As soon as I submitted my issue on Yelp and their website I received a call from Dave within 5 min providing me some troubleshooting tips, availability of technicians, ball park cost estimates for replacement. Our technician, Justin G. did an outstanding job installing out new water heater. He was prompt, friendly, and an outstanding communicator. He exhibited an exceptional technical acumen in diagnosing my old heater, and provided a fair quote for replacement. Your typical bait and switch experience. If you call them, they will ask a few questions and tell you that it will run from $2,100 to $2,500. I called and talked to two of their representatives on two different days and times and got the same line. I did get a quote from a plumber that I've used before and trust. His rough estimate was $2,800 to $3,000. On his previous job for me (drain repair), his completed price was exactly the same as his rough estimate. The water heater installer for Water Heaters Only shows up and quotes $2,750 immediately. When I told him I was quoted $2,100 to $2,500, the first thing he said was "Yeah... I don't know where they get that." I said, You're already here, let's do this. When I asked for a price breakdown at the conclusion of the job he said "We don't do that." When he called the office to get the credit card authorization, he said "You might get a call from the customer because he wants a price breakdown." I heard the guy snicker and he said okay (he was on speakerphone). (I never called.) The retail price of the water heater installed in my home is $1,265 from an online retailer. Granted there were a few parts needed in addition to the water heater, but this comes to well over $1,000 for labor. Their installer was here less than three hours. He did take off $50 because I refused a new expansion tank.

Don't get me wrong. It looks like I would have likely paid close to that from another plumber. The thing is, I trust the other plumber and will use him again for other jobs. Who knows, maybe the water heater he provided would have been of better quality or capability than the one installed. My problem is that the installer is told what to charge by the company. The guys answering the phone are told what to say by the company. The phone guys are told to say $2,100 to $2,500. The installer is told what to charge.

It looks like it was a competent installation. Time will tell. As he left and handed me the invoice, he also handed me a slip of paper to refer a friend. That's not going to happen.

Yesterday at 7:00 am I called Water Heaters Only. Our water heater had leaked all over the garage over night and we had no hot water. We happen to have a forced vent water heater. They are a little pricey and also difficult to find. They scheduled a tech for 12:00 noon the same day. Thomas , the tech called me an hour before noon and asked if he could come a little ahead of schedule, a request that we were very happy to accept. He explained in detail what we needed and how he would take care of the issue. By 6:00 Pm the same day we had a new forced vent water heater installed and hot water in the house. Very happy with how they took care of our problem. David , the person who took my call was very pleasant with great customer service and I cannot say enough about Thomas , the Tech who did the work very professionally and left my garage spot less after he was done. I highly recommend this company.

Nothing is more frustrating than a cold shower in the cold morning, except your wife having the cold shower! Alex answered the 24/7 call at 6PM and walked us through our scheduling options and Water Heater's Only background. David locally answered my call the morning of the appointment to confirm some details and discuss the sourced equipment and why Bradford and White were the company main choice for gas heaters, their experience with Heat pumps so far, and some other details. He completed the call with the assurance the tech would be out to perform the estimate and ready to start once approved. Justin arrived in the early part of the scheduled window. He was polite and professional. His installation was quick and careful with a full clean up. He walked both my wife and I through the inspection, maintenance, and settings of the New Bradford and White Gas Hot Water Heater. Answered questions and went over their warranty, service numbers, and recommended emergency procedures until my wife was comfortable. He was patient with both of us. I called the company because I thought I needed a new water heater. I had met with two companies before and gotten quotes before finding water heaters only. I met with Thomas a very personable young man who noticed the heater was showing an error message that indicated something just needed cleaning. I hadn't noticed it before, and no other company said anything about it. So, we agreed that he would just clean it instead of replacing it and he did, and I was very happy. Needless to say, I will be calling him back when it finally does fail. Great job! I definitely appreciated his competence and honesty. I recommend you ask for Thomas.

I was given a 4 hour time window for the installer (Thomas B) and he called me shortly after 9 and notified me that he would have to pick up the water heater from the warehouse (30 gallon heaters were not normally kept in inventory). He called again when he he picked it up and gave me the time he expected to arrive. Once he arrived he inspected the old heater (24 years old) located in the crawl space under the house, gave me a quote and told me that more more earthquake reinforcement should be put in for safety reasons. I accepted the quote. He drained and removed the old heater, installed the new one, built additional reinforcement and tested the system for functionality and leaks.
He was courteous, conscientious and friendly

Long story short, fantastic service provided by Water Heaters Only and technician Thomas B. If anyone is living in San Diego I would highly recommend Thomas B. as your next technician because of his high degree of knowledge, the meticulous work he provides, and the honest craftsmanship. My water heater flame went out and when I tried the pilot re-lit the flame would not stay on. After considering replacing the storage water heater, Thomas B. made a last-ditch effort to replace the thermocouple and to our luck, it worked! The flame stood strong and Thomas even waited over a couple hours to ensure the flame did not fade. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality work provided by the technician and the professionalism of Water Heaters Only. Will definitely call back if needing a replacement water heater.

After waiting a day for someone to come out, the technician obviously did not want to do the job. First they had an issue with the proximity of my washer and dryer. Then they proceeded to quote saying it was going to much higher cost due to the install and finally said they could not do it until I “repaired” my dry wall claiming they couldn’t strap it in properly due to a crack - except the strap is going into the stud on my wall, not the drywall. They changed me $65.00 for my trouble. While trying to find a drywall repair- I kept running into the issue of the water heater being in the way. Called to see if they would at least come back to remove the old water heater - they could for another $400 which would be in addition to the quote in place. Ended up finding a plumber who charged me almost $1000 less than their quote and did not require me to spend another $700+ in unnecessary repairs

Wow! I have a water heater that the pilot light won't light. I called 'Water Heaters Only' and the guy basically didn't want the business.
I told him that it was a RHEEM water heater and he couldn't talk enough about how bad RHEEM products are. He said that they (RHEEM) is known for it's "defective" products. He stated that they could not get the required parts from RHEEM. I then contacted a different company.. I now have an appointment in 2 hours.
I would NOT recommend 'Water Heaters Only'!

I can't say enough about Justin, our tech, and the value of the service. As a matter of uncanny timing our old water heater started leaking all over our garage a week after moving back into our home. We were displaced due to a major plumbing leak flooding two floors of our townhome. I called a few places but found Water Heaters via Google. The main reason I contacted them was because one review said they were 40% less than every other estimate. I had been quoted nearly 5k for a replacement and install by other companies and the wallet was feeling a little worse for wear. After speaking with a very helpful phone rep (sorry that I don't remember her name), I made a same day appointment. Justin our tech called me and asked if he could come earlier. Justin was professional and was happy to accommodate our kid and dog chaos. Justin gave us a complete rundown of the job and an educated guess on the timing of the service. We were able to get the kids out of the house and trust him to do his work. When we returned Justin had finished his work which included replacing the valves and copper tubing to the water heater. All in all we spent almost half the amount of the other estimates and got more done than we expected. I have already recommended the company to a coworker and my wife has done so to. Very thankful for this experience after having to deal our very stressful previous flood and all the insurance and plumbing hassles.

They did a good job replacing our old water heater back then and it lasted for 16 years. Last night after 16 years our water heater broke, they send technician Justin who did a very good job. Justin arrived on time. He reviewed my history of water temperature loss, inspected the water heater, verified the age of the existing tank and provided an estimate to replace that was 40% less than two previous estimates from local competitors.
He removed the old system, upgraded all associated parts to meet code and installed a new water heater efficiently with a very professional mechanics. Clean up was spotless....and he is really friendly guy!

John was incredibly professional and knowledgeable throughout the entire process, from the initial consultation to the final installation. John took the time to explain everything to me in detail and answer any questions I had.

The quality of the work was outstanding, and I was impressed with how quickly John was able to complete the installation. John also made sure to clean up after and left the space even cleaner than it was before He arrived.

My 30 year old water heater that came with the house started a small leak from the bottom so I knew it was time to go. I emailed Water Heaters Only and got an appointment with Danny (182785) who was very professional and knowledgeable. Danny 177157 came on time and immediately checked the tank and he explained to me everything and all possible options and I picked to replace it after knowing that it was mire than 10 years old. He immediately worked on it, and he did it so well and he made sure that everything is properly and correctly attached. He's so patient and after several hours the water heater was properly attached and secured. He's so efficient, kind and courteous. He's so patient answering all my questions because I'm new to it and after he's done he taught me what to do just in case it leaked again and there's to one that can come right away. He went above and beyond to replace our leaking water heater and bring everything up to code. When they say open 24 hours they mean it! I needed a new water heater and work crazy hours so it’s difficult for me to call businesses during normal working hours so when I stumbled across Water Heaters Only and saw that they take calls 24/7 I thought that’s exactly who I need. I hesitated calling at 11:00 at night thinking it would be an answering service who wouldn’t really be able to answer my questions or schedule my appointment - I was definitely wrong! The rep that answered the phone was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and was able to schedule my install for the next morning! Total shocker! I then received a call at 7:45 AM to confirm the installation time and to let me know that the installer would be coming from North County so he wouldn’t be here until 10 AM which was fine with me because I was still sleeping, ha ha. Clayton arrived on time and completely prepared for my installation. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and got right to work. He was efficient and had everything removed, installed, and ready to use in less than 2 hours. Highly recommend and appreciate how smoothly the installation was done.

Highly recommend! Friday morning after Thanksgiving and water heater died. Called WHO and got scheduled for the next afternoon. John B called to let me know he was on his way, showed up right on time, looked at our old setup and immediately said “no problem”. Even though our old water heater still had water in it. Even though it’s kind of an awkward location. No problem. John was meticulous, obviously knew what he was doing, and explained everything I asked. Totally professional. All done for a fair price, and on a holiday weekend! WHO goes in my list of companies to call, companies to recommend to my friends.
